The cursed wraiths known as Nighthaunt Pyregheists exist solely to spread the death-infused flames of Nagashizar far and wide. They are malicious spectres, full of bitter fury at their own predicament.
Nighthaunt are creations of Nagash, designed solely to enact his punishments against the living. As such, the Pyregheists have no names of their own, and remember only fractured echoes of their past lives – enough to ensure they are constantly overwhelmed by grief and regret at their hideous existence. Their living foes, however, quite often grant them macabre names and titles.
