Corvus Cabal Background Tables
There are two versions of some tables, one from the original rulebook, and an updated one from White Dwarf #483.
- White Dwarf #483
- Warcry Core Book 2019
Corvus Cabal initiates primarily hail from the Carrion Reach mountains in Ulgu, though others have flocked to join them after witnessing their acts of violence in the Eightpoints. Their way of life is heavy with rituals, from self-mutilation to the stripping of corpses.
Cabal initiates' names are unique combinations of hoarse cries and scratched whispers that mimic the sounds of prey-birds. They are bestowed after an initiate's customary maiming of the vocal cords, and their carrion call pays tribute to their hungering avian god. This is done when the initiate comes of age or immediately upon entry, in the case of older pilgrims. |
Masters of ambush and assassination, warriors of the Cabal tend to possess an unnerving focus, talking little and communicating with a combination of complex hand signals and sharp cries that sound like those of hunting prey-birds.
Though their stronghold, the Shrouded Eyrie, lies in a secluded region of Ulgu, the Corvus Cabal have buried their talons into many mortal cities of the realms. From their perches high above the heave and rush, they observe all. Spates of murders have plagued many of Sigmar's cities - key citizens brutally slain, their eyes removed and trophies stripped from their corpses. Many Chaos Lords have sought to hire the Cabal's services as assassins. The Great Gatherer's flock accept no payment beyond that which they take from the bodies of their victims.
