Rulers of the city-state of Nochseed, the Cypher Lords are masters of illusion and deception. They have gazed into the dark heart of Chaos, and embraced its infinite madness.
The Lords of Nochseed are a secretive band, maintaining an image of serene nobility even as their spies embed themselves within the social strata of neighbouring cities and settlements. Theirs is not the way of savage destruction. Instead they seek to spread the taint of madness in a more subtle fashion, turning their enemies upon one another with sadistic cunning, instigating uprisings, coups and assassinations to encourage a constant state of anarchic flux. The lesser ranks of the Cypher Lords’ battle thralls are leashed to the will of their masters, bound by mind-altering sorcery and directed into battle like puppets.
