Scions of the Flame Background Tables

The Scions of the Flame hail from the Bright Mountains in northern Aspiria, an ash-choked stretch of volcanic peaks under which run sulphurous subterranean caverns and magma flows.
Their temples are littered across these lands, fortresses of bronze and flame that guard deposits of Aqshian realmstone - the deadly substance known as aqthracite or ragerock by scholars of such matters. This realmstone is the living essence of the Ever-Raging Flame. The Scions seek it with single-minded fanaticism, for they use it in dark rituals in order to unleash volcanic eruptions and infernos across the land. To fuel this apocalyptic quest, they require vast quantities of ragerock, which is not easily found. By joining Archaon’s wars of conquest, they hope to gather enough to set the realms ablaze.
