The Everchosen's Regards
Sigmar is an arrogant fool. The God-King claims to protect his people, but was it not Sigmar who retreated during the Age of Chaos and hid himself in Azyr? Is it not Sigmar who, even now, sends his lightning revenants to fight on his behalf? Any chance to humble these warrior must be seized, for a blow struck against them is a blow struck against hated Sigmar also.
You have run down a band of Stormcast Eternals commanded by some preening champion, harrying them to the ruins of a Sigmarite temple. It is here that the enemy makes their stand, and here you will slaughter the Stormcasts on the steps of their own altars. Each of them is a mighty hero worthy of caution, but you have an edge of your own a colossal beast of the wastes, howling for hallowed blood. The gods surely watch this battle of faith with interest you must not fail in their eyes.

Prerequisite: 4 dominated territories
Stake: 1 dominated territory
The Warbands
The Challenger and the Advensary player each muster a warband with the following amendments:
- The Challenger must muster a Chaos warband, and all fighters in the Challenger's warband must be chosen from the Challenger's warband roster. In addition, if the Challenger does not have a fighter with the Monster runemark () on their warband roster, they can add 1 fighter with the Monster runemark () to their warband for this battle.
- All fighters in the Adversary player's warband must have 1 of the following faction runemarks: Stormcast Eternals Warrior Chamber (), Stormcast Eternals Vanguard Auxiliary Chamber () or Stormcast Eternals Sacrosanct Chamber ().
- The combined points value of the fighters in each warband can not exceed 1,500.
Special Rules
The Sigmarite Temple: After terrain has been set up, the Adversary player places a scenery model on the battlefield to represent the temple's statue of Sigmar. During the battle, the statue of Sigmar can be targeted by attack actions and abilities used by tighters in the Challenger's warband. The statue of Sigmar has a Toughness characteristic of 10 and a Wounds characteristic of 50. Once 50 damage points have been a llocated to the statue of Sigmar, it is desecrated.
Favour of the Gods: The Challenger rolls a dice each time an adversary is taken down. On a 3+, they can pick a fighter in their warband to receive a boon. The type of boon corresponds to the roll, as shown below:

Battleplan
Terrain: The Adversary player picks the terrain card.
Deployment: Defiant Stand
The Challenger's warband uses the red deployment points.
Victory: If at the end of a battle round the statue of Sigmar (see the Special Rules box) is desecrated, the Challenger wins the battle. Otherwise, a player wins the battle a soon as every fighter in their opponent's warband is taken down.

If the Challenger wins the battle, they can choose 1 of the following spoils:
Treasure Hoard: See page 105.
Artefact of Power: The Challenger can give 1 fighter in their warband the following artefact of power:
Desecrated Meteoric Mail: One of many abandoned relics within the temple, this suit of meteoric armour has been thoroughly profaned by your efforts. No doubt if will incense Azyrites even as it wards you from their blows.
Subtract 1 from the damage points allocated by each hit and critical hit from attack actions that target the bearer.
