Thunderstrike Stormvasts Background Tables

The return of the smith-god Grungni heralded a new stage in Sigmar's great war against Chaos, and a new weapon with which to wage it - thunderstrike armour. Each blessed suit of this masterwork battle plate acts as a resonator for the soul, allowing its bearer to wield the cleansing fury of Azyr with new-found precision. Stormcast clad in this god-forged mantle can fight longer and harder than ever, and even in death they are able to channel volatile celestial energies to obliterate their foes.
Seeking to redouble his expansions into hostile lands, Sigmar desired warriors who could spearhead protracted campaigns, engaging whatever aries were hurled against them in whatever environments they found themselves. For such challenges were were the thunderstrike-clad hosts of Stormcast Eternals forged, and they have proven a devastating success.
